BRAHMS’ A GERMAN REQUIEM PERFORMED BY ABBEY CHOIRS (GIRLS AND LAY-CLERKS) 

On Remembrance weekend, Saturday 9th November the Abbey Girls and Lay-clerks will perform Brahms’s heartfelt and moving Requiem. The expressive words and music,  together with the beautiful setting of the Abbey’s restored east end, will combine to create a loving and memorable event.

The music will be accompanied by Shean Bowers and Gary Desmond on piano duet lending this grand work a tenderness and intimacy as we recall those who have given their lives in service to their countries.

There will be powerful and thoughtful reading between each of the seven movements by the Rector Guy Bridgewater and Jeremy Key-Pugh.
