Our guided Abbey Highlights Tour lasts 30 minutes and are available throughout the day, at no extra charge (subject to availability).

Guided Tower Tour, plus Abbey & Discovery Centre Entry

• Climb the 212 steps of Bath Abbey’s Tower to learn and see more, of the Church and city. By joining a Tower Tour you will truly step up your experience of Bath. Head behind closed doors, to catch a glimpse of our clock face and fan-vaulted ceiling from above. Hear about the history of our bells, before admiring the picturesque, panoramic views at the top of the tower.

Our fully guided tower tours last 60 minutes and are available throughout the day, Monday-Saturday (subject to availability).

Tower Tour Tickets can be booked online, or at the Welcome Desk upon arrival. Tours are booked on a first come, first served basis and acceptance of the Terms and Conditions.

Bath Abbey’s History Highlights Audio Tour

Discover Bath Abbey’s history through the people who made it the building and Christian community it is today. This tour complements our guided Abbey tours around the building (excluding the tower).

This can be used in partnership with our guided floor tours for a more comprehensive overview of the Abbey’s history.

Empire and Slavery Audio Tour

An introduction to the Abbey’s links to the Transatlantic slave trade through the people memorialised in the Abbey. Hear about plantation owners, key figures in the East India Company, and those who fought to abolish the practice. This audio tour includes heavy themes.
