Our learning programme is available for primary and secondary schools

A warm welcome awaits you here in beautiful Bath Abbey - a place of Christian worship, fascinating history and exciting learning experiences.

Featured Event:

Early Years Fun for children aged 0-4 years and their carer

Experienced facilitator Holly Dabbs leads interactive sessions exploring the Abbey. Drama, singing, crafting and story time activities are included in these fun sessions.

Monday 23rd September: Session 4 – ‘Colourful Flags!’

Monday 21st October: Session 5 - 'Super Shapes!’

Monday 25th November: Session 6 – ‘Light and Dark!’

Times:

9.30 – 10.30: Children aged 2-4 years and their carer. Maximum number: 20.

11.00 – 12.00: Children under 2 and their carer. Maximum number: 20.

Tickets available on Eventbrite: £5 each - covers one carer and child (accompanying babies in arms are free)

Christmas through the Centuries at Bath Abbey

For KS1 and KS2.  A 45 minute tour led by a member of the Learning team. Includes the chance to see the 'Light of Stars' Exhibition from 27th November (to 11th January).

Optional additional 30 minute craft making workshop: Make a Christmas Dove of Peace decoration.

Did you know Christmas wasn't celebrated in the Abbey for 11 years during the rule of the Puritans? Or that finding a dried pea in your Christmas Cake made you Queen for the day in the Georgian times?
