Be part of it

One of the most special things about Bath Abbey is the way it brings people together – from all over the world and all walks of life. Volunteers tell visitors stories from the past. Bell ringers call people together for prayer. And musicians invite us to pause and listen. There is always a warm welcome and sense of belonging – and all sorts of wonderful ways to join in with church life.

Come to a service and be part of our congregation or learn about the ways in which our missions support people across the globe. Join our 300-strong team of volunteers, helping to preserve our Abbey’s past and protect its future. And discover the vibrant range of groups and societies that meet under our roof – from the Mothers’ Union to the Friends of Bath Abbey. Ours is a community that spans generations, cultures and continents.
