Swn y Gan is one of Wales’ newest choirs. It was due to have its first rehearsal in March 2020 but, due to Covid restrictions, did not actually meet until 18 months later.

It has since grown from a small group to a mixed choir of over 40 singers; performing the widest possible repertoire – from Rachmaninov to Radiohead, from Sondheim to Fauré, and including many original arrangements. In a range of languages, including Welsh.

It performed at the Abbey last June and is delighted to return for today’s recital.

The choir is accompanied by Dan Thomas and is directed by Geraint Davies.
