We welcome groups to visit and explore the Abbey at their own leisure and/or with their own guide. Groups of 10 or more are required to book in advance. To avoid disappointment, we recommend that you make your booking at least four weeks in advance. Behind The Scenes Group Tours
For groups of 8-15 people, we can arrange tours of the ongoing building and restoration work in the Abbey. You'll get to put on hard hats and take a sneak peek at the historic floor as it is saved from collapse and its 891 memorial stones are conserved. Thanks to our experienced guides, discover just why there are so many memorial stones on the Abbey floor, why the floor is collapsing, and the complex work carried out to repair the floor as part of our Footprint Project, as well as some of the things the team of archaeologists from Wessex Archaeology have found along the way.
Tours last around 1hr 15 mins with a maximum of 15 people per tour. Hard hats, hi-vis jackets, and steel toe cap boots will be provided. Due to the nature of the route that the tour takes, it is not fully accessible.
Tickets: Adults £10, Children £5 (suitable for ages 7+), 2 for 1 for Discovery Card holders. For groups of 10 or more the following discount applies: Adults £9, Children £4.
