Bath Abbey is hosting a series of late-night summer events throughout August, allowing visitors to soak up the atmosphere of this incredible building like never before.
Summer Late Night Openings
Tuesdays & Wednesdays • 17.00 – 19.00
The Abbey will open late on Tuesdays and Wednesdays throughout August, with Step it Up Tower Tours available to purchase on the day or evening.
No pre-booking necessary, simply turn up. Normal entry fees apply.
Summer of Music
Thursdays • 18.30 – 21.00
Following the success of our Summer Lates last year we are back with an even greater offer in August 2023.

Solar Observation and Planetarium
Fridays • 18.00 – 20.00
This illuminating evening gives you the chance to get up close and personal with the nearest star in our galaxy: The Sun.
Run in partnership with Bath Astronomers, you will have the chance to safely view the sun using specialist telescopes, discover fun sun facts and ask any burning questions you might have.
Discover how the sun travels through our skies during the year and learn about the solstices, equinox, equilux and the analemma.
