Thanks to The National Archives, Bath Abbey, Bath Preservation Trust and Bath Records Office have been awarded a grant to explore Bath’s links to the transatlantic slave trade and the history of a Black presence in the city by studying digital archives of the Bath Chronicle.
Six grants were awarded across the country with the theme of ‘addressing representation in archives’.
Details will be published once research has taken place.
