Medieval Monks at Bath Abbey – Bath Museums Week

Step back in time for an exciting taste of Benedictine monastic life at Bath Abbey in the 12th Century. Meet and chat with costumed experts from Angevins, a Living History group, who will demonstrate and explain historical skills such as
- living and working as a Benedictine monk
- illustrating books in the ‘Scriptorium’
- concocting herbal medicine
- spinning and weaving
- preparing food and drink
What did monks eat for their supper? How were their clothes made? All this and more will be revealed…
