
Music of the Spheres – Treasuring Creation

A ‘promenade’ style concert will open up the whole interior space of the abbey in a way rarely seen.
An evocative and mesmerising evening of music under the Gaia exhibit.
Programme will include ‘And I saw a new heaven, and a new earth’ by Bainton, ‘O sing unto the Lord a new song’ by James MacMillan, ‘Seek him that maketh the seven stars’ by Jonathan Dove.
This promenade concert offers a unique opportunity to ponder Earth’s beauty whilst gazing at the Gaia sculpture suspended from the stunning vaulted abbey ceiling with atmospheric lighting.
- The performance will last an hour.
- Standing/roaming performance.
- Some seats will be available in the Corporation Stalls and the abbey wall seats.
