Lunchtime Recital – Treverva Male Voice Choir
Sat 5 October at 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm
Treverva is a small village 2 miles west of Falmouth and we practiced in the village church for 77 years until it became unviable to remain open. We are now based in Mylor, again just a couple of miles north of Falmouth. We have sung at 30,000 ft in a Jumbo Jet and Deep down in a Cornish Tin mine singing Christmas Carols for the BBC.
We were originally formed from a quartet in 1936 by Edgar Kessel MBE. Once a choir of 60 plus but since the Pandemic we are hovering around the 30 mark. We have travelled extensively during our existence to California and Europe plus the whole of the UK winning many trophies along the way.
Our aim now is to try and encourage the younger generation to get involved in order to ensure the continuation of this great tradition.
