Lunchtime Piano Recital – Clara Sherratt

Clara Sherratt – Classical Pianist

Clara Sherratt started playing the piano age 6, gaining her ABRSM grade 8 distinction by age 11. She went on to become one of the youngest ever winners of both the Two Moors Festival and the Bristol Festival of Music. She has subsequently performed at many regional and international events, recent ones include St George’s and Colston Hall, Bristol, Powderham Castle, Devon, Bristol Music Club, Dulverton Church, Devon and the Two Moors Festival as well as Music Fest Perugia, Italy, and the Festival Internacional de Piano Torre de Canyamel, Mallorca.  She has contributed to charity galas, won various prizes and received outstanding commendations from the Mid Somerset Festival, Epta, Emmanuel, North London Festival and has played for the Lord Mayor of Bristol as an award-winning City Waite. Her concerto performances include Haydn no.11, Shostakovich no. 2, and Rachmaninov no. 1 with regional orchestras and the resident orchestra of Music Fest Perugia, Italy.

Clara was a pupil of the international pedagogue Professor Pascal Nemirovski at the Royal Academy of Music, and her current teacher is Dina Parakhina, senior Professor and Fellow at the Royal College of Music.
