Flautist Ka Wing Karen WONG is a versatile chamber and orchestral player. She has recently worked with the London Symphony Orchestra, Southbank Sinfonia, Northern Ballet Sinfonia, Scottish Ballet Orchestra, Chipping Campden Festival Academy Orchestra and Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra. Being a frequent prize-winner in music competitions, Karen won 1st Prize in British Flute Society Young Artist Competition 2022, 2nd Prize in Tampere Flute Fest Piccolo Competition 2022 and 3rd place in National Flute Association Piccolo Orchestral Audition Competition 2021. She performed with Klangkollektiv Wien as concerto soloist, after winning mock audition at the Penthesilea Academy in Austria. She has given solo and chamber performances in Hong Kong, Taiwan, the UK, the US, Austria, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, and Finland.
Karen graduated at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama with Distinction on both the Artist Diploma and Orchestral Artistry Masters, studying flute, piccolo and traverso with Ian Clarke, Gareth Davies, Philippa Davies, Sarah Newbold, Christopher Green and Lisa Beznosiuk.
