Please note: As part of the ongoing Footprint project building work, we will be moving our entrance on Monday June 11th to the South West Doors. Please follow signs and instructions from our staff and volunteers on the day. Thank you for bearing with us.

Pilgrims and visitors have been made welcome at Bath Abbey for hundreds of years. As one of the most visited places in the South West, we welcome hundreds of thousands of people through our doors each year, but are fully aware that every visitor comes with their own expectations, beliefs and purpose.

Whether it’s to admire the wonderful architecture, to enjoy exceptional music in a beautiful setting or to join us in prayer, come and experience the Abbey’s rich history and special atmosphere for yourselves.

The East End of the Abbey will be closed for visiting until March 2019 due to building work to repair and stabilise the Abbey's collapsing floor as part of our Footprint project.

Footprint is a multi-million pound programme of capital works and interpretation which will provide innovative and sustainable solutions to our needs.
