Young People & Students

Young people and students are a very important part of the life of Bath Abbey and are very welcome to join in any aspect of our shared life.

On Sunday mornings many of our young people are involved in our choirs and others are part of the congregation.  During the 0930 service the young people go out into the own groups for a time of discussion (with some light refreshments) led by our student youth workers.  We aim to look at subjects of Christian faith from the perspective of the young people themselves.  There are socials each term and we try to get away together at least once a year, on pilgrimage or to Soul Survivor or perhaps just a weekend away.

If you’re aged between 11 and 18, like eating free food, hanging out and chatting, why not join Bath Abbey's youth group? We meet and share a simple meal together every Monday at 6.00-7.30pm at 9 Kingston Buildings (opposite the Abbey).

You are welcome to come along to as many or as few sessions as you like. Sessions are free of charge.

The place where students are most often to be found is 'Begin The Week': the informal service at 6.30pm on Sunday evenings. This is a simple service with reflective worship and thoughtful teaching that explores what it means to follow Jesus. The service is followed by refreshments, on the first Sunday of the month there is usually a trip the pub for further discussion. Click on the BTW feature box to find out more.
