N.B. Our monthly meetings take place every third Thursday of each month at 2.30pm in 9 Kingston Buildings unless otherwise stated.
The General Meeting for Mothers' Union members worldwide was held in Bath in June 2013. Around 1,600 members invaded Bath and for two days the MU badge could be seen all over the city.
The morning Eucharist in the Abbey before the main meeting was attended by over 400 members and was much appreciated by everyone. The General Meeting, held in the Forum, was a sell-out and inspired us all to look at what seeds we are sowing for the future.
The Worldwide President, Lynne Tembey, gave an inspirational opening presentation reminding us that our membership is a gift that must be shared. She introduced the new trustee board and Reg Bailey, MU Chief Executive, chaired a "Question Time" with the four unit co-ordinators from Mary Sumner House. After lunch, Adrian Plass entertained and challenged us all to think about how we work together despite our differences, taking as his title "Living, Listening, Loving". Judging by the comments from members, the whole occasion was a great success!
