Good Friday: 'Day of Prayer' (Closed for visiting)

On Good Friday we mark this day with a special day of prayer in the Abbey. Although the Abbey is closed for visiting, all are welcome to join us in worship as we remember how Jesus died for our salvation, and reflect on the meaning of his death and  suffering.

Services include:

10.30am Cross Walks Service in the Abbey

11am Joint Cross Walks Service in the Abbey Churchyard

12noon Meditations
Revd Prof Mark Williams, a guided meditation with readings, cello music and silence

2pm The Liturgy of Good Friday – The Final Hour
Sung by the Abbey Choirs of Girls and Men
Lotti, Allegri, Sanders & Tallis

5.30pm Stainer's The Crucifixion
Sung by the Abbey Choirs of Boys and Men
