Tower Tours
Tower Tours offer the chance to go behind the scenes and look at the Abbey from a very different perspective. The fully guided tour takes 45 - 50 minutes.
On your way up, you will get to visit the ringing chamber and bell chamber, stand on top of the Abbey’s vaulted ceiling, and even sit behind the clock face. Once up on the roof you will have the best vantage point in Bath to enjoy spectacular views of our beautiful city and see right into the countryside.
There are 212 steps to the top of the Tower arranged in two spiral staircases with an opportunity to rest in between.

Tower Tours closed
Tours may be more frequent during peak times and school holidays.
Tickets: Adult £6; Child (5–15 years) £3
These can be purchased from the Abbey shop on the day only. Group bookings need to be booked in advance.
Health and safety information
You need to be reasonably fit and in good health to climb the narrow stone spiral staircases. Children must be at least five years old and accompanied by a responsible adult (1 adult per 1 child, ages 5-10; 1 adult per 4 children, ages 11-15).
Tower Tour closures
Tower Tours do not take place during Services, special events and bell ringing. During adverse weather conditions, tours may also be disrupted and may be subject to cancellation at very short notice. We apologise for any inconvenience but this is a necessary safety precaution.
Planned closures/variations will be shown here as soon as we become aware of them.
On Tuesday 2 July Tower Tours will run at 5pm, 6pm and 7pm only.
On Wednesday 3 July the only Tower Tour will be at 7pm.
There will be no Tower Tours on Thursday 4 July
