Bath Abbey Projects Director

Hours: 40 hours per week across 7 days

Salary: £42 - 48K depending on experience

Overall purpose of the job:
We are currently looking for a Projects Director who will be responsible for the continued strategic direction, planning, control, delivery and completion of the Bath Abbey Footprint Project to ensure that the project is completed safely, making sure that the project runs on time and within the allocated budget allowance, whilst keeping the Abbey open and functioning.

Interim Minister 

With two current vacancies for Abbey Rector and Abbey Vicar, the PCC are looking to employ an Interim Minister for up to 18 months to support the liturgical life of the Abbey, the care of the worshipping community and to oversee Chaplain support for staff, volunteers and visitors.  The post-holder will be a clerk in Holy Orders and will be licensed by the Bishop of Bath and Wells.

Remuneration is the equivalent of a stipend, pension and housing allowance.

Youth Worker

Reports to:  Youth and Families Chaplain

Responsible for: Supporting the Abbey’s work with young people.

Salary / Bursary: £1716

Hours:  6.5 per week (during term time, 33 weeks p.a.)

Annual Leave: Pro rata (Full time 25 days + Bank Holidays)

Overall purpose of the post
To work with the Youth and Families Chaplain with the children and young people in the choirs, helping them feel part of and to contribute to the life of the Abbey community whilst deepening their understanding of Abbey life and faith.
