There will again be
ticketing for this service. Ticketing helps us in our effort to ensure that
Abbey people who indicate their wish to attend are able to do so; and that
members of the public who obtain tickets may, similarly, be assured of
admission. For
everyone’s convenience, ticketing also has the effect of minimising queueing
outside the Abbey before the service begins.
For the purpose of
ticket allocation for Nine Lessons and Carols, the Abbey will be split and
colour coded into general areas. Access to the Abbey will be via the North
West and South West porches, the Orange Grove door and the South East door,
depending on the seating area indicated on the ticket. No-one
will be allowed
into the Abbey without a ticket.
Application for
tickets has now closed, however, any remaining tickets are available from the Abbey Shop.
Please note: There
are usually some tickets (returns; or not taken on the night) available on
Christmas Eve outside the Great West Doors at 6.40 pm.
