Kenyan Appeal

We recently launched an emergency appeal to help those suffering as a result of the terrible food crisis in East Africa - over 10 million people are at risk from starvation.

Our appeal is focusing on the Marsabit diocese, a badly affected region of Northern Kenya. We have a close link with the Bishop of Marsabit, Rt Revd Rob Martin, who is the former Vicar of Holy Trinity Church, Frome, and our donations will help support Bishop Martin’s relief food programme. 

So far, a total of £62,500 has been raised by the Abbey congregation. And now the money is being used by the Church to buy food and lorries to transport it to the homes of the neediest people.
