VACANCIES

Students

Students are a very important part of the life of Bath Abbey. If you are a student, then you are welcome to join in any aspect of our shared life. The places where students are most often to be found are:

By the Way, Sundays 6.30pm

By the Way is a simple, informal evening service. It’s a place where there’s time and space to be with God, to be with others, and to explore what it means to follow Jesus.

Jesus had the ability to do and to say things that made no sense at all to those around him but which, when allowed to sink in, speak the kind of truth that stops us in our tracks.

This term’s talks look at his extraordinary statements about happiness. Our own efforts to achieve happiness have their limitations; reason enough to consider a different way. For programme details go to the By the Way page.

Way Later, Sundays 8pm

Join students and others for further conversation at the pub, or over a pizza, after the service.

Way Way Later, 19 November

Spend the whole night in the Abbey, engage in creative prayer, play, talk, sleep and climb the tower. Concludes with cooked breakfast. Next event: Friday, 19th November, from 10pm until 9am the next day. Sign up via the By the Way Bath Abbey facebook group.

By the Way Worship Band

The band that plays on a Sunday evening is led by James Scott jscott@bathabbey.org . If you sing, or play an instrument, why not get in touch with James and see about coming along to a practice?
