Annette Smith

Annette was born in Bath, and has a first in Fine Art from Bath Spa University.

She is primarily a painter interested in the passage of time and its relationship to lived experience. Her dreamlike images are informed by an interest in early photographic techniques. She is currently working in response to the several old faded shop signs around Bath, where the narrative of the city is being slowly erased or eroded.

She decorated two of the popular 'King Bladud's Pigs' in 2008, one of which was for the Abbey, and has exhibited in London and locally.
